Staff changes Sonja Wray, our school cook, will be resigning her post at the end of this month. Sonja has worked hard to transform our menus in line with numerous Government changes in regulations and has worked hard to tailor the food to the children’s needs within strict guidelines. She has been here for just over 3 years and in the future, as well as covering for staff absence, she plans to spend time in her second area of expertise as an artist. |

Congratulations! Mr and Mrs Lockley are delighted to announce the arrival of twin daughters:Amelia Grace and Anna Rachael. They arrived on Wednesday 7th October 2009 at 5.05 p.m. Both girls are home and doing well. Mr Lockley would like to thank friends, colleagues, parents and children for their good wishes, support and generosity. |

Parents’ Evenings These will be held on Weds & Thurs, 4th and 5th November from 3.30 – 6.30 p.m. Boards are in the entrance hall for you to book your appointments. Mrs. Parker, SENCo, will be available on Weds. |

Vacancy for Parent Governors Three candidates have been nominated for the two vacant positions for Parent Governor on the School’s Governing Body. An election will, therefore, be necessary. Details of the candidates will be sent home after the Break and the election will be held on Friday 6th November. |

Football news The school football team participated in the local ESFA 7-a-side football tournament yesterday. In their first match, the team were comprehensively beaten 6-1 by an impressive Carrant Brook side though in their second |

Christmas Cards The children have been designing their own cards to be individually printed for you to buy if you wish. These are now at the printers and a proof copy will be sent home in November. |

Book Fair This will arrive on Thursday 5th November (parents’ Eve) for the week and will be open from 3 p.m. daily.

Mid Term Break School closes on Friday at 3.10/3.15 p.m. for the week’s break and reopens at 8.50 a.m. on Mon Nov. 2nd. |

Cross Country Running This has now finished until January but Mr. Fisher needs the T.E. shirts to be returned before tomorrow or Friday. At present our girls are in first position out of all the local schools and our boys are in second position. Well done so far! |

Swimming change - Friday this week Cascades pool is closed for cleaning on Friday 23rd Oct for Mr. Holland’s and Mrs. Rouse, classes. They will catch up on 25th Nov and 2nd Dec. |

Reception Children Miss Rowland and Mrs. Griffiths are very pleased that so many WOW moments have been sent in to school for the children to share. It is really working well and the children feel really pleased to share their successes. Keep it up! |

Growing Places On Thurs. 29th Oct. 10 – 3 p.m. at Tewkesbury Garden Centre you can take part in Pumpkin carving, herb & seed displays, and pick up seasonal gardening tips; refreshments are available all day. Details in the noticeboard. Ł1 per child. This is part of COUNT ME IN, promoting Tewkesbury’s Healthy Lifestyle.
