Dear Parents

Happy New Year – 2008 is well underway and below are term dates for the coming year for your reference. To save resources we will be issuing one newsletter per family from now onwards.

Details of the Christmas party organised by Cllr. Chuck Pavey have been distributed to all children and families who were affected by July’s floods. Free tickets are in the school office for all those who would like to go along and enjoy the fun this Saturday.

Swimming started this week at a cost of £6 for the half term to mid February. A separate letter accompanies this newsletter – please complete it and send it back to school as soon as possible. This is a voluntary payment.

It seems that head lice have re-emerged this term affecting a number of classes across the school and other schools across the area. Please can you check your child’s hair daily and treat immediately if you find them. The only way to reduce the number of children affected is for everyone to be extra vigilant as it only takes one child to re-infect others.

The Joiners’ Service for all Reception children will take place at Holy Trinity Church next week on Thursday 17th January at 2.15 p.m. Details are attached on a separate letter for their parents.

Yours sincerely

A.W.Holt.

Head Teacher                                                                                                                                Newsletter 001.

To all Reception children and parents.

We are again holding a Joiners’ Service at Holy Trinity Church this year and it will be on Thursday 17th January.

Please bring your Teddy Bear!

The children will be walking to Church at 2 p.m. and we hope to make a start by 2.15 p.m. There will be songs and

games during the service and it should be a relaxed time to welcome parents and children to our Church of England school.

All parents, grandparents, Aunts, Uncles etc. are welcome to join us and the service should last about 40 minutes.

You may take your children home at the end if you wish; otherwise they will walk back to school and can be collected

at the usual time.

This is a venture organised by the Foundation Governors and staff at Holy Trinity and it is always an enjoyable time.
