Dear Parents,
An extra newsletter this week to inform/remind you of events at school.
You will be pleased to hear that Wednesday's Ofsted subject inspection of ICT went very well with the Lead Inspector grading the school as good/very good in all areas. He was particularly impressed with the enthusiasm of the children, the way they tackled new tasks and the standards that they achieved in all areas of ICT. The report will be sent to the HMCI and a National report will be issued in May of next year when over one hundred schools will have been inspected as part of this survey. Our school's report will be posted on the Ofsted website in two weeks.
Parents' evenings are next week, as detailed on our dates sheet at the beginning of term. Parents of Reception children only will have appointments (Tues. 6th, Weds. 7th and Thurs. 8th with appointment sheets for signing up in the classrooms) while all other Parents are invited to a 'drop-in' evening on Thursday 8th November, between 3.30 and 6.30 p.m., no signing up needed.
The School Book Fair will be open for a week from 8th November each afternoon from 3 - 4 p.m. for you to choose any books that you wish to buy. As ever, the book company gives the school huge discount on books that we buy for the children's classrooms.
