17th October 2007

Dear Parents

We have a vacancy for a Midday Supervisor to look after one Key Stage 2 child with a Statement of Need each lunchtime. If you are interested, please ask at the office for further details. The post is to start as soon as possible.

A reminder that nominations for the vacant post of Parent Governor have to received by 19th October; this Friday at 6 p.m. Details available from the school office.

A quiz night held at school last Friday raised an £240 towards the appeal for the emergency stretcher (APS) for use in times of flooding here in Tewkesbury. We now have only £200 left to raise towards the £1127 needed.

If you are splitting any plants in your garden and can donate half towards the school garden that would be much appreciated. Please let school or a PTFA member know.

School closes on Friday for the Mid-term break and reopens on Monday 29th October at 8.50 a.m.

The school has been selected for an additional one-day Ofsted Inspection for its ICT on October 31st. This is part of a random selection where schools from various categories are chosen to give a National picture of how ICT is being taught across the country. Ours is being chosen in the 'Outstanding' category and the ensuing report will be sent to HM Chief Inspector of Schools.

Yours sincerely

A.W.Holt.

Head Teacher.
