Dear Parents
There is a huge variety of after school club activities available to the children which are listed below. Most start next though the children will be notified of any last minute changes. All children who join a club must make sure that they see the teacher concerned if they are unable to attend so that we (and you) are certain where they are - we have to check where each child is if they are not there as arranged. I am grateful to my colleagues for volunteering their time to run so many activities after school

As many of you know, we have an active and effective Parent, Teacher and Friends Association which works tirelessly behind the scenes organising events and raising funds for the children in school. We are in need of new members who would like to be a part of the Team, whether as a committee member or simply to help at an event sometime in the future. If you would like to find out more - or simply would like to show your appreciation of the work done by the PTFA, please come along to the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 18th September at 6.30 p.m. here at school. The meeting will only last around 25 minutes and refreshments will be served.
We are planning to arrange some fund-raising soon to help raise money for rescue equipment for Tewkesbury in the event of further flooding in future years. More details later.
Several parents have volunteered to help in school, though, as ever, we need more! This could involve walking the children to swimming, working with groups in class, hearing reading etc. If you can spare some time, please let as know your child?s teacher know as we can make good use of you.
All those who collected Sainsbury's Sports for School tokens will be pleased to hear that a large amount of equipment has been delivered - thank you. Tesco Sport vouchers are now being collected!
Many thanks to staff from the Environment Agency who have installed a 'dipping platform' over our new school pond enabling the children to get close to the aquatic creatures and plants - without falling in! This has involved a team of men working for three days and the wood, fixtures and hard work have all been provided free of charge. I am very grateful to Ian Skuse and the team for their efforts.
As before, water is available for children throughout lessons using non-spill bottles filled at our water coolers. All the children are given a free bottle when starting school and replacements from a local supplier are available at school for £1. (spare tops only, 25p).
Year 6. Cycling Proficiency is arranged for October 1st- 4th (Mon - Thurs) for those children who sent in a reply slip. Don't forget your bikes on those days and make sure they are in a roadworthy condition.
Yours sincerely
A.W.Holt.
